Over the course of Brad Hompe’s time with Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI-DOC), he has gained a lot of experience that makes him something of an expert on how jails and prisons are run well. Over time, Brad has performed virtually every job that can be done in a prison environment. The main reason for that is, he worked his way up through the ranks and didn’t skip a level. Brad Hompe startedout as a corrections officer, before being promoted to sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain before becoming a unit manager, a deputy warden and, eventually, a warden.
Currently a Corrections Complaint Examiner and Investigator for WI-DOC, Brad Hompe has continued to gain more and more valuable experience with jail and prison operations, over and above running a prison as a warden. While Brad Hompe has gained a lot of experience in the field of corrections, he was also sure to get a great education, starting with a Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice and psychology from Winona State University. He then went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
